write · heal · grow · flourish with us.
Writing Women of God (WWG) is a Christian women’s writer community that endeavors to use the power of God’s Word and the power of writing to help women discover their own healing, self-worth, and identity. WWG is a place to rest, breath, and be on the page in community.
We look to create opportunities for women to tell their stories; to challenge women to live healed whole lives; to help each woman recognize her inherent value; to motivate women to deal successfully with life’s transitions; to inspire women to build sisterhood across the lines of diversity.
Our Vision
Our vision is to help each woman be bold, balanced, and beautiful in her own unique way in all areas of her life. A bold woman faces her past, lives in her present, and looks towards her future with courage and confidence. A balanced woman lives her life on purpose, on her own terms, with clarity and focus. A beautiful woman builds self-image, self-esteem, and self-worth on internal resources instead of societal pressures and perceptions.
Our Mission
Our mission to use the discipline of spiritual writing, transformation coaching, spiritual direction, and the power of sisterhood to help women go from where they are to where God wants them to be.
Our Goals
Help writers develop a productive writing practice · Create a safe space for women to share their writing · Provide tools to help women to reach their writing goals · Provide support for women who are called as writing ministers · Use writing as a tool of leadership development
Our Founder
I founded WWG as a membership community that focuses on nurturing women of God who either write for themselves or write for others. WWG is a place for women who understand or want to understand the power of words and who desire to be in a community with women who share that understanding. WWG is part of a collection of offerings that I have crafted over the years for women who desire to heal, grow, and be their best selves in Christ Jesus. As a woman of God, I wanted to create a space where women were encouraged to thrive and flourish together versus being perpetrators and/or victims of negative competition. For me, the arts have always been a great equalizing force, a place where differences can be celebrated and embraced as a strength, and a place where commonalities are used to bond us together across our differences. Outside the church, I saw the power of women coming together through the arts over ten years ago when I started Women Between the Lines, which is a theatrical storytelling residence where I help women write and share their stories on the page and the stage. During seminary, I adapted WBTL for the body of Christ and saw the same results. When Covid-19 forced WBTL to go into hiatus, God gave me the vision for WWG, which allowed women to stay connected through the power of the page through digital means. I hope that as WWG grows as an online complement to WBTL, we are always a place where each woman is edified, empowered, and equipped to be bold, balanced, and beautiful in her own unique way through Christ Jesus.
